Already a Magazine Crave: Florida Designer Makes a Splash in the Swimwear Industry by Launching the First “Designer On-line Swimwear Boutique”

(PRWEB) March 13, 2005

It all started with a dream shared by two designers, combining over 30 years experience. This dream is cherished by every little girl and every woman in the world, from the day they are born through their adult lives every one of them secretly dreams about becoming a princess; walking through a room full of people and feeling glamorously sexy and beautiful.

Ricochet Swimwear was born!

It took over two years of sourcing every part of the world to bring together the finest components to put together the collection that would make the dream come true. They have combined the most luxurious fabrics like; hand beaded crochets, ultra soft touch lycras and lacoste patterned weaves. To intricately embellish those fabrics they purchased precious and rare stones, metals and chose the most beautiful and unique shells.

Going back to their storyboards they began designing form-fitting, enhancing, slimming and flattering swimwear silhouettes. But they didn’t stop there! Each collection was expanded to include magnificent hand crocheted cover-ups and unique jewelry ensembles. Looking at their creative accomplishments, the temptation to make their collections available to as many women as possible was too strong so they decided to price the collection with-in a competitive and afforadable price-range.

The incredible dream came true… On February 14th. 2005 ( Valentines day could not have been a more apt date for the launch which has been such a labor of love) the Ricochet Swimwear on-line boutique made it’s debut. But that is not the “end of the story”. This dynamic duo have plans to launch a Ricochet Lingerie Collection early summer 2005.

Love Writing Animal and Pet Books? Best-Selling Authors Share Secrets: New Online Course Shows How to Increase Income by Writing about Pets

Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) January 10, 2012

Although book sales in general have not fared so well lately, Publisher?s Weekly has called pet books ?bulletproof even in a down market.? Pets live in two out of three American homes, inspiring ?pet parents? and animal experts to write about four-legged family members Now best-selling, award-winning Angel Animals series authors and writing instructors, Allen and Linda Anderson, have organized over twenty years of experience writing about pets into a comprehensive, downloadable course. They share trade secrets and practical techniques in Woof, Meow, Write, Publish: Writing about Pets and Animals for Love and Money. More information, endorsements for the course, and an easy process for getting started in the exciting field of pet writing are at the course?s website. (Published by Angel Animals Network, 2011, $ 97.00. Manual: 150 pages; Workbook, 112 pages; Audio Recording, 10 minutes. Available worldwide online.)

Allen Anderson says, ?We think others could enjoy and profit from the fulfilling writing my wife Linda and I have been fortunate to do together. People can?t find this course?s materials in any other books or articles. That?s because writing about pets is unique with its own rewards, challenges, and obstacles.?

The Andersons have professionally designed their pet writing, publishing, and marketing systems in an easy-to-follow, three-part course that serves as entry into the $ 50 billion pet product and service industry. The course?s manual, with eighteen modules of detailed, step-by-step instructions, empowers people to write and publish pet memoirs, essays, personal experience stories, novels, nonfiction books, and articles. A comprehensive workbook includes techniques, exercises, and prompts for having fun while honing the skills and craft of communicating ideas, observations, and emotions to others. ?Straight Talk about Pet Writing? offers a ten-minute audio recording in which the authors use humor and straightforward suggestions that draw upon their years of teaching and coaching writers to achieve writing goals.

?Pet writers and speakers get to connect with others who love animals as much as they do,? says Linda Anderson. ?If they have a pet product or service to sell, pet writing puts them in touch with their market. Good pet writing is always in demand, because animals are an integral part of most of our lives. Writing is also healing and therapeutic while honoring the loss of a beloved animal companion.?

People are passionate about caring for and giving respect to animals. It?s in a writer?s best interests to be aware of the hot button issues in animal welfare. That?s one of the reasons why the Andersons believe in the importance of taking their professionally designed writing course that addresses issues specific to pets and animals.

About Allen and Linda Anderson

Allen and Linda Anderson are a husband-and-wife writing team and founders of the Angel Animals Network ? Where Pets Are Family. They are dedicated to bringing more love into the world by celebrating the special relationships people have with their pets and animals in nature. Since 1996, their books and pet writing pioneered the field of animal spirituality by showing how animals have helped people become greater human beings. By 2012, they had written fourteen published animal books and sold over a quarter million through retail outlets and online bookstores. Their books are translated into multiple languages for publication in the United States, Italy, Brazil, and Japan. RESCUED: Saving Animals from Disaster won the American Society of Journalists & Authors Outstanding Book Award. Dogs and the Women Who Love Them was recommended in O Magazine as one of the year?s top sixteen dog books. Great Valentine’s Day eBook For Singles — 2 Years, 25 Guys, My True Online Dating Story

Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) February 8, 2008

A new eBook chronicles the seemingly endless saga that is online dating, just in time for Valentine’s Day. This true story follows 23-year-old Nicki Milano for two years as she dates 25 men online.

She’s just one of the 40 Million Americans currently online dating. Nearly half the single US population dates online, according to surveys.

“This is like Sex and the City, but it’s real,” said Milano. “These are the stories your friends won’t tell you — the real-life ups, downs, love, lies and everything in between.”

When asked what online dating is really like, Milano replied, “It’s difficult, but I learned a huge amount. I wrote this book from my own diaries — I hope this helps others realize it’s not just them.”

The author used Match.com, eHarmony.com, and MySpace.com.

She dated a fighter pilot, rich entrepreneur, call center worker, cop, artist (with a secret girlfriend), lawyer, Manhattan businessman, underwater construction diver, several engineers, a skater dude, and many more in Phoenix, Arizona.

Nicki begins the story as a mousy 23-year-old writer healing from a break-up with her only boyfriend. Over the next two years she re-invents herself.

Sipping wine, elaborate dessert platters, ballroom dancing, and midnight picnics top Milano’s best date list.

Worst dates include dive bars, Denny’s, the Brokeback Mountain date, and having a man lick her eye.

The 131 page eBook is honest, raw and real. Amazing first dates, awful ones, great relationships, heartbreak, disappointment, rejection, and all the other roller coaster emotions that go into single life and dating.

An excerpt:

“Did they think the guy I was walking with was my boyfriend? Did they know I had another date with a different guy tomorrow at noon? And another guy Friday at nine? Sometimes I wondered what the host at the Cheesecake Factory thought. I showed up there so often, always with different guys. He probably thought I was some sort of escort, or slut – I was neither. I just wanted what everyone else wanted – someone that makes you crazy and happy. A person you just understand”

At the end of the book, the author decides to move to New York City. She currently resides in Manhattan and is working on a second book about dating in New York.

Available for $ 15.00. For more information, or to purchase, visit: http://www.waycoolebooks.com.

TrekDesk Treadmill Desk User Pleased with Results Starts Online Blog

Vancouver, WA (PRWEB) January 18, 2012

When TrekDesk Treadmill Desks first offered an affordable treadmill desk to America in 2008 it was initially met with a bit of skepticism. Scientific studies since then started exposing the health risks of sitting all day at an office and early adopters of the TrekDesk chimed in with some amazing health restoration stories which have snowballed into a Movement Revolution led by its converts. A number of TrekDesk users have made it their personal mission to spread the word regarding the health benefits of walking while working. Cindy Mayhak of Vancouver, WA was so energized by her results she started a blog to share her experience and health improvement milestones with the TrekDesk Treadmill Desk.

?Trekdesk has become a way of life (or rather work) for me – I have all sorts of thoughts and ideas to share about my experience TrekDesking that I thought I would start a blog to share the information. When I was looking into walking at work ideas, I did a lot of research about ideas and what worked for others and what didn’t work for them – I would love for my blog to be a place for people to get a view into someone else’s life using a Trekdesk and help them make the decision to walk towards healthier living as well.?

Cindy?s experience has paralleled that of other TrekDesk users who, although making tremendous gains from a health standpoint, also value the boost in energy and overall well being that walking while working provides, ?The benefits of Trekdesk for me have been increased work and personal productivity. While I am walking, I think better and am more productive. And when I am able to walk at work, I am more productive for my personal time, as I am burning calories during work that otherwise I would need to find time to burn after work. My physical being has improved with increased muscle tone and a loss of 30 lbs over the last year. And I plain and simply FEEL better after having TrekDesked at work!

You can follow Cindy?s blog and learn more about the benefits of a workout at work (without sweating) at ?Don?t Ask Me, I Just Walk Here (http://trekdeskwalk.blogspot.com).

Akoya and Freshwater Pearl Valentine’s Day News: “Girlfriend, Forget Flashy — the Style in Today’s Economy is Classic,” says Retailer Who Owns World’s Largest Online Pearl Store

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) February 10, 2009

Akoya and freshwater pearls will set the tone for classic luxury gifts this Valentine’s Day says Jeremy Shepherd, the man who sells more pearls on online than anyone in cyberspace at his online jewelry store PearlParadise.com.

“People from all walks of life are cutting back – the economy reflects that,” says Shepherd. “Even so, men will always remember their ladies on Valentine’s Day. Many of them will buy from us because we sell the same akoya and freshwater pearl necklaces that the fancy jewelry stores sell – only our pearls cost 80 percent less.”

Shepherd quotes a recent study from the National Retail Federation that shows even in households where earnings are $ 150,000 annually, Valentine’s Day spending will drop 25 percent.

“It’s not just budget-minded men who will choose the classic look of akoya and freshwater pearls for their ladies,” says Shepherd. “The survey showed that even wealthy shoppers know that in this ailing economy, flashy is out and subdued is in.”

Amazingly, notes Shepherd, “Even Americans who earn $ 10 million or more a year are turning their backs on flamboyant gifts, the study showed. Their gift-giving philosophy is like ours. Classy conservatism rules – and that makes pearls the ideal gift for any woman, no matter what her age or taste. Pearls are not just for dress-up. They look just as great with jeans.”

The Wall Street Journal and USA Today have had a big hand in building Shepherd’s reputation as a pearl retailer who deeply discounts high quality pearl jewelry.

Reporter Edward Iwata of USA Today said Pearl Paradise “sells high-quality pearls at lower prices to everyone from college students to investment bankers.” Tara Siegel Branard, a writer for The Wall Street Journal, described Shepherd’s core customer in her story as “the man who wants to buy a necklace for his wife, but knows it’s $ 2,500 in a store but $ 350 at http://www.PearlParadise.com."

What are some examples of discounted akoya and freshwater pearl gifts?

Bookflirts.com: A Novel Approach to Online Dating for Book Lovers

Brooklyn, NY (PRWEB) January 29, 2010

Bookflirts.com, the dating site that matches book lovers, has gone live in time for Valentine?s Day.

?Remember how sparks flew when you met an attractive stranger and discovered he or she loved the same books you do?? said Peter Wiegand, Bookflirts.com’s developer. ?Bookflirts.com recaptures that feeling with an innovative approach to online romance.?

User profiles include a virtual bookshelf to let other members know if a potential date is on the same page in reading tastes. Members indicate interest by clicking a ?wink.?

Bookflirts.com targets shy bookworms and outgoing champions of literature alike, and covers all genres. ?As long as you have an open heart, Bookflirts.com has a possible collaborator for your continuing story,? Singh said.

Keeping in mind that not every date has a happy ending, Singh added, the site offers a library?s worth of likeminded book lovers to flirt with. Members who want just a friend to talk books can indicate that as well.

?Your next chapter starts here,? the website beckons to literary singles, straight and gay.

Bookflirts.com doesn?t simply go by the book either, the company said. Each profile accommodates a photo with biographical details and personal preferences. Privacy is assured and any correspondence can be blocked at the click of a button.

The matchmaking site also gives new members a chance to win books signed by well-known authors. But the biggest reward for Bookflirts.com singles, Singh said, is to find the perfect relationship, from introduction to happily ever after..

?Book lovers are an especially passionate lot, devoted to their favorite books and authors,? Singh said. ?Bookflirts.com gets it. The rest of the world has its dating sites. Now Bookflirts.com offers a meeting ground for singles who actually like to read.?
